Bethany's Quilt

Following a Chinese tradition, I am making a "100 Good Wishes" Quilt for my daughter Bethany who is somewhere in China. To celebrate a new life, a quilt is made from 100 squares of fabric donated by family and friends. Contributers also put their "good wish" on paper with a small sample of their fabric. These "wishes" will be compiled in a scrapbook so I can tell Bethany about all the people who sent their good wishes before they ever met her.

OHGWQ # 15

This beautiful pink piece (I love pink!) is from blogger friend Krista in Dayton, OH - another single mom-to-be. I love the wish and the Chinese character stamps! Thanks, Krista!

This one is another individual swap - I will continue to number them separately as "OHGWQ #_" - the group swaps will be labelled by swap name as I have been doing with Seeing Red. The group swap pieces may end up in the same quilt as the individuals. I will keep the ticker updated for the total amount of fabric received, including all swaps.

# 11

This adorable print of Chinese children playing is from Sheila in Vancouver. The wish was on the inside of a single fold card but I am using a scrapbook with sheet protectors so I cut the card. This way both the outside and inside of the card is visible. Thanks, Sheila!

The first fabric from a co-worker - Lynn! Pastel unicorn fabric with a very meaningful wish. Thanks, Lynn! I'm not sure why the paper the wish is on scanned so light - it is actually neon pink.

Ticker

I was able to add a Ticker that would count the number of quilt squares I have received to date. However, it is called Exercise Ticker. Does any one know how to remove that title?

A work in progress

This is a work in progress. I need to learn how to post scanned images before anything will show up here.
